Maximizing turnover, this Laparoscopic Irrigation Pump is user-friendly, ergonomically designed, and capable of withstanding up to 300mm of pressure.
Product Features
The Unimax Irrigation Pump is intended to apply pressure to a blood or I.V. Fluid bag to assist in intravenous delivery of fluids by enabling flow rates higher than gravity alone. Single or dual liter options available.
1. Conduct a visual check of the pump to ensure the door, hinges and latch are intact and free of damage. If there is any evidence of damage, do not use the pump.
2. Connect the input connection to a gas supply to apply pressure to the Unimax Irrigation Pump. CAUTION: connection to a source other than those recommended may result in incorrect operating pressures or damage to internal components.
3. Spike a 500 or 1000ml fluid bag with a fluid administration set. Prime per the administration set manufacturer's Instruction for Use. Close the roller clamp on the administration set aft priming. CAUTION: remove all air from the fluid bag before pressurizing to prevent air from being infused into the patient.
4. Open the Unimax Irrigation Pump cover and put inside the fluid bag.
5. Close the cover and secure the latch.
6. Turn the control switch to the “ON” position.
7. The pressure knob is preset to be under 550 mmHg.
8. If pressure readjustment is required, simply pull the knob out and set the desired pressure. Lock the knob by pushing it in.
9. Adjust the roller clamp on the administration set to achieve the desired flow rate. CAUTION: the Unimax Irrigation Pump controls the pressure applied to the fluid bag and not fluid flow rate. There are no alarms provided for empty bags, occlusions or excessive flow. It is the user's responsibility to ensure proper fluid flow, including monitoring for excessive flow or occlusion.
10. Before switching off the pressure infuser, the clamp should be closed on the patient line.
